Introducing Ginny

VIRGINIA FISHER “GINNY”- is an accomplished attorney, and esteemed mediator from Aurora. Ginny serves as the chair of our Grant Committee and has successfully obtained various grants to support Friends of CASA of Portage County. She is married with two sons and a grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren, two boys and a girl. Ginny began at Cleveland State University earning her degree and graduating from Law School in 1982. That same year, she was admitted to the Ohio Bar, a significant milestone that marked the beginning of her illustrious legal career. From 1982 to 1986, Ginny honed her legal acumen and skills while working in private practice. In recognition of her exceptional legal expertise and ethical standards, she was appointed by Governor Voinovich to sit on the Regional Board of Review for the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation in 1992. In 1997,she joined the Attorney General’s Office that spanned nearly a quarter- century. After a fulfilling career in the AG’s office, Ginny retired in 2020. Ginny then found a new calling as a mediator in the Cuyahoga County Court system.
