Who We Are….
We are the Friends of CASA of Portage County
We are a 501c3 organization created for the purpose of supporting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Portage County.
Donations go towards recruiting and training CASA volunteers appointed by the court to cases of child abuse and neglect, as well as securing resources to meet the needs of children. With the help of our community, we can provide children with opportunities to participate in camps, sports, school events, and more, bringing some much-needed normalcy to their lives.
Imagine What it Feels Like to be a Child in Foster Care
Children enter foster care through no fault of their own. And, although children are resilient, they shouldn’t have to be. Each year in Ohio, there are more than 16,000 young people who experience abuse and neglect and are in foster care.
